TURKEY: MIGROS TARGETS $1.0 BLN TURNOVER

Turkish consumer goods retailer Migros, owned by Koc Holding, is targeting a turnover of $1.0 bln (1.159 bln euro) in 2001, compared to $982 mln (1.139 bln euro) in 2000, company's general manager Oktay Irsidar said. Following these expectations Migros invested between $300,000 (348,000) and $400,000 (464,000 euro) in its new online B2B (business-to-business) project at www.b2bmigros.com.tr. Migros plans to post a net profit of $115 mln (133 mln euro) from operations outside Turkey and a profit of $225 mln (260.9 mln euro) inside the country by the end of 2001.
